Midwest Food Processors set for annual convention

The 110th annual Midwest Food Processors Association convention and 87th Processing Crops Conference will be Dec. 2-4  at the Kalahari Resort & Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. The event will feature more than 150 exhibitors’ booths displaying the latest in technology and equipment and 40 speakers discussing everything from food safety to 3-D printed food.

More than 900 industry and government professionals, representatives from the news media and academia, gather to learn about industry trends and topics. The event includes a membership meeting, speakers, breakout sessions and a silent auction to raise money for scholarships.

Keynote speakers include business futurist David Zach, former Green Bay Packers running back and motivational speaker Ahman Green and Mark Jewell, an agribusiness motivational speaker.

Other features include a panel presentation on food safety and recall trends, an update on the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), a panel on various certification programs (GFSI, FS 22000 and FSMA) and water quality in Wisconsin.
