Depart partners with Sarp to expand equipment, processing options

Depart, the spare parts business of global handling systems technology company Alapala Group, has partnered with food technology company Sarp to offer spiral conveyor belts and food processing systems.

Sarp, based in Italy, designs and manufactures customized machinery for industrial food production and thermal treatment of bulk or packed foods.

The partnership will allow Depart to address drying, sterilizing, pasteurizing, cooling, freezing or leavening needs in food products, according to a news release.

“We have prepared our sales and marketing infrastructure of the food processing machines that will provide various advantages to many food manufacturers such as spiral coolers, spiral freezers, spiral pasteurizer and proofers,” Cengiz Tiryakioglu, general manager of Depart, said in the release. “This month, our sales team started to work in the countries we took over for Sarp machines, which provide many advantages, especially energy savings and waste-free production.”

Istanbul-based Alapala Group provides technological solutions in grain milling, feed milling, grain holding and storage systems, spare parts and industrial construction. Its food industry products include packing and scale machines and separating and optical sorters.
