Minnesota tour to offer insights into equipment manufacturing process
PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, is partnering with leading equipment manufacturers in the upcoming Minnesota Manufactured Statewide Tour of Manufacturing.
Coinciding with Minnesota Manufacturing Month in October, the event provides first-hand insights into the processes behind the creation of everyday products used in industries including beverages, baking and snacks, and personal care products, according to a news release.
From Oct. 9-13, PMMI member companies including Accraply, Beckhoff Automation, Delkor Systems, Delta Modtech, MGS Machine, and Straub Design will welcome the public on guided facility tours.
“Our goal is to expose the next generation to the technologies that are used to manufacture products we use every day and the machines that help bring them to market,” Amy Elfering of Delta Modtech said in the release. “This event offers a valuable opportunity for youth, families, and job seekers to witness firsthand the dynamic world of manufacturing and its essential role in our lives.”
Manufacturing comprises more than 30% of Minnesota’s economy, according to the state’s Department of Employment and Economic Development.
