Fresh & Easy recalls organic baby spinach after listeria detected

Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market Inc. voluntarily recalled fresh Organic Baby Spinach with the “enjoy by date” of Aug. 1 and sold under the f&e label.

The recall notification is being issued out of an abundance of caution based on a random sample test, conducted on behalf of FDA. One bag of this product with the Aug. 1 “enjoy by date” was confirmed to be positive for Listeria monocytogenes, according to a statement from FDA. No illnesses have been associated with this product.

Customers still in possession of this expired product were advised by Fresh & Easy to immediately dispose of it.

The recalled product was sold in Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market stores located in California, Nevada and Arizona.
