Food processing company changes name

Poland-based Nowicki Food Machinery has changed its name to NOMA. The company said the change reflects its 50-year commitment to the food processing industry by highlighting both the Nowicki family name and the company’s focus on modern machinery.

BAK Food Equipment is the exclusive North American distributor of NOMA.

“We are a longtime representative of NOMA equipment and are excited for this next phase of our partnership,” John Bobak, president and founder of BAK Food Equipment, said in a news release. “NOMA’s passion for innovation and commitment to quality have made it easy to be a committed partner in North America. We’re proud to represent this brand and provide value to our customers.”

BAK Food Equipment, which rebranded from Equipment Processing Solutions in January 2023, offers a range of equipment from NOMA, a provider of solutions for vegetable, seafood and meat processing.
