Lucky Golden Fruits packaging highlights Lunar New Year
Goldenberry Farms, a Miami-based tropical fruit grower, packer, exporter and importer, is offering limited edition Lucky Golden Fruits packaging highlighting cape gooseberries to celebrate the Lunar New Year.
The gooseberries are packaged with leaves in eye-catching, red-and-gold packaging honoring the Year of the Rabbit. Red symbolizes luck and gold represents prosperity in Asian traditions.
The golden fruit is presented in an environmentally friendly basket made from sugarcane.
“Our creative team really enjoyed working on this festive product,” said Christopher Palumbo, Goldenberry Farms brand director. “The leaves serve as a wrapping, peeled back to reveal a delicious golden pearl-like appearance, thanks to the unique makeup of the fruit. We are thrilled to present consumers with a beautiful, affordable product which also might offer them the hope of good health and luck and wishes of good fortune for the year ahead.”
Goldenberry Farms physalis and cape gooseberries are sourced from the company’s sustainable farms in Colombia. The fruit is packaged 12 units per case with 160 cases per pallet.
Lunar New Year, observed by numerous cultures and a traditional festival in China, kicks off a calendar year whose months are moon cycles. Preparations for the 2023 celebration begin on Jan. 14, with the new year falling on Jan. 22. Festivities can last as many as 16 days.
Lucky Golden Fruits is now shipping to global destinations including the U.S., Europe, Canada, and Asia.
