UC Davis to host semiannual measuring workshop

The University of California-Davis Postharvest Technology Center will host its semiannual “Methods of Measuring Fruit and Vegetable Flavor, Color and Texture” workshop on Jan. 20.

The one-day workshop features lectures on the principles and applications of measuring produce color, flavor, and texture. Interactive demonstrations of measuring methods and an expo of the latest equipment in the produce industry will also be featured. A full agenda for the workshop is available.

The course is intended for those working in fresh produce and processed fruit and vegetable industries, such as growers, packinghouse operators and retail and foodservice personnel, as well as individuals involved in quality control and research and ­­­development activities, according to the Postharvest Technology Center’s website.
