Primera releases new desktop printer

Primera Technology has introduced the LX910, designed to be its fastest-ever desktop color label printer.

Typical applications for the food industry include product labels for coffee, wine, water, bakery, confectionary, meat, cheese and hundreds of other specialty and gourmet foods.

Primera said the LX910 brings a number of distinct advantages compared to other printers:

• Print speed: Best-in-class throughput at up to 4.5 inches per second.
• Print quality: Horizontal banding is virtually eliminated — even on the faster print speeds.
• Interchangeable dye or pigment inks: With a swap-out of ink cartridges, the LX910 can print with dye-based ink for maximum color quality; or with pigment ink for maximum durability against water and UV light.
• Single ink SKU: LX910 utilizes an all-new, ultra-high capacity single CMY ink tank (instead of two or four).
• Low maintenance: Users get a brand-new print head each time they change the cartridge.
• Metal case: Instead of a plastic case that can break, the LX910 has a steel case with industrial-grade power-coated paint.
