Rennco to debut vertical cup counter loader after year of testing

Michigan-based packaging machinery manufacturer Rennco is debuting its new vertical cup counter loader at September’s PACK EXPO in Las Vegas.

The Micro VCCL reduces floor space footprint by 30% while maintaining high-volume throughput, according to a news release. The machine features a proprietary shuttle tower infeed that eliminates the need for the traditional staging area and belt infeed, according to the release.

The Micro VCCL’s dual-lane tower design is capable of handling 330 cups per minute per lane, while the machine also maintains cup reject and manual reload functionality.

Designed in 2021, the machine spent a year in beta testing with select customers. The machine performed well in head-to-head comparisons with larger, competitive machinery, according to the release.

The Micro VCCL can be integrated with upstream and downstream automation through its powerful Allen Bradley processor. Customers can attach a common case packer to the discharge area to increase returns in efficiency.

Rennco, a ProMach brand which provides vertical semi-automatic and automatic bagging solutions utilizing center-folded packaging material, can configure a Micro VCCL within hours of receiving a purchase order, according to the company.
