He has also served as board chair The Occidental Canal Co.; the California Fresh Market Tomato Growers Exchange, where he was founding chair; California Tomato Commission; and the California Tomato Growers cooperative.

“This announcement comes as DiMare embarks on its next century of dedicated service to our esteemed customers and partners,” Tom DiMare, president of DiMare Inc., said in a news release. “I am so pleased to extend sincere congratulations to Jeff as he assumes this pivotal leadership position in California.”

DiMare, founded in 1928 by three Boston brothers, began marketing its produce nationally by 1939.

In 2003, the company established a nationwide network of repack distribution facilities with the creation of DiMare Fresh, which now owns and operates facilities in California, Texas, Pennsylvania and Florida.

A graduate of Colorado State, Dolan began his produce industry career as a teenager helping his father at the DiMare family repacking and wholesale operation near Boston.
