Boston Fresh opens new repack and fresh-cut operation

Boston Fresh, a regional produce wholesaler, repacker and fresh-cut processor, will begin operating out of its new facility in Brockton, Massachusetts, in July 2014. Specializing in tomato repacking , value-added packing and fresh-cut solutions, Boston Fresh will also inventory a full line of fresh fruits and vegetables, according to the company.

“Our first priority is understanding our customers’ needs and building a program to support them,” said Charlie Nano, general manager at Boston Fresh. “But a close second is fulfilling our obligation to support that program with products and services that they can depend on day-after-day. Our team has put a lot of thought and planning into this expansion, and we look forward to building more great relationships with retailers and foodservice operators throughout the Northeast.”

The new Brockton facility will be HACCP certified, GFSI audited and PTI compliant with all labeling conforming to GS1 standards. Orders will be delivered via a refrigerated fleet operated by Blackhawk Transport.
