ReposiTrak adds 20 produce companies to traceability network
Traceability and regulatory compliance network ReposiTrak has added 20 new produce companies to its ReposiTrak Traceability Network.
The network uses an inventory management and out-of-stock reduction Software as a Service (SaaS) platform to connect suppliers and trading partners ahead of the January 2026 deadline for compliance with the Food and Drug Administration’s Food Traceability Final Rule. Users can exchange FDA-required Key Data Elements for each Critical Tracking Event in the supply chain.
The new additions include a top New England wholesaler, a large specialty crop grower in Texas and a fourth-generation family vegetable farm in California, according to a news release.
“As the largest and only fully operational traceability network, ReposiTrak is crucial for both suppliers and retailers,” Randy Fields, chair and CEO of ReposiTrak, said in the release. “Our comprehensive system allows the seamless transmission of traceability data to anyone in the industry, in any format.”
The network requires no additional hardware or software, according to ReposiTrak, and users share data for a flat fee.
Fields explained why compliance with the new rule, commonly known as FSMA 204, will be necessary before the FDA-mandated deadline in an article in Produce Processing’s March/April issue.
