Taylor Farms, Safeway issue recall after listeria find

Taylor Farms voluntary issued recall of products containing fresh broccoli sold through at in 12 states. The affected produce was sold in store delis and in vegetable trays.

The Taylor Farms recall was initiated in response to an isolated instance in which a test sample yielded a positive result for listeria, according to the company. No illnesses have been associated with Taylor Farms products. Customers are asked to discard the affected products or return them to the stores for a full refund.

The recalled products were made using Taylor Farms’ fresh broccoli and sold in the deli area at Safeway, Vons, Pavilions and Pak N’ Save stores. The following affected products have a “Use By” dates of Feb. 7 to March 7. They were sold in sold in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington State and Wyoming.
