Ready Pac Issues Recall of Some Products Containing Peanuts

Ready Pac Foods Inc. issued a voluntary recall for certain products that have peanuts because the products may be contaminated with salmonella.

The recall is part of an ongoing outbreak associated with processed peanuts. The outbreak has sickened as many as 600 and killed 8. No illnesses have been reported from Ready Pac products.

The recalled items are:

Cool Cuts Celery with Peanut Butter, 12-count, with a use by date between Dec. 27, 2008, and Feb. 2.

Trader Joe’s Celery with Peanut Butter, 12-count and 30-count, with a use by date between Dec. 27 and Feb. 2.

Eating Right Apples with Peanut Butter, 12-count, with a use by date between Dec. 27 and Feb. 2.

Eating Right Celery with Peanut Butter, 12-count, with a use by date between Dec. 27 and Feb. 2.
