People in the mix

Recent appointments in the produce processing industry include:

  • J&J Family of Farms has hired industry veteran Chris Coffman to serve as president and chief operating officer. In this new position Coffman will be leading the day-to-day operations for the company. He will be responsible for overseeing all J&J operation locations in Florida, Georgia, Arizona, Tennessee, Mexico and the Dominican Republic. The company is a grower-shipper of peppers, cucumbers, squash and a variety of mixed vegetables for foodservice and retail operators nationwide.
  • Harpak-ULMA Packaging announces the appointment of John Bostwick as regional sales manager.  He will be based out of Georgia and will be responsible for the southern region, which covers Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee and Puerto Rico. Bostwick brings over 17 years of experience with companies such as Food Processing Systems, Heat and Control and Hinds-Boch.
  • Diana McClean has been appointed director of marketing for Ocean Mist FarmsShe will be based in the company’s headquarters in Castroville, California and report to Joe Feldman, vice president of sales and marketing. McClean is a produce industry veteran with more than 15 years experience, most recently at Tanimura & Antle where her duties included developing and launching new products, consumer research, package development, managing vendor relationships and directing social media.
