Partnership launches solutions for Northern California nut, dried fruit processors
Key Technology, WECO, PPM Technologies and Multiscan have formed the Northern California Nut Processing Group, a new partnership designed to provide nut processors with advanced equipment and personalized support.
Part of Duravant’s Food Sorting and Handling Solutions division, this group delivers a full range of processing technologies tailored to the needs of the walnut, almond, pistachio and dried fruit industries.
The Northern California Nut Processing Group combines expertise from all four companies, offering state-of-the-art systems for optical sorting, conveying, seasoning and packaging. WECO’s industry-leading in-shell sorting systems, Key Technology’s sorting and packaging distribution solutions, PPM Technologies’ seasoning and thermal processing equipment, and Multiscan’s advanced optical sorters create a comprehensive portfolio for processors looking to improve efficiency, product quality, and yields.
“Small, family-run businesses in Northern California produce more than half the world’s supply of nuts, and we’re here to help them optimize their operations,” said Jack Lee, president of Duravant’s Food Sorting and Handling Solutions. “This new group builds on WECO’s strong local presence, offering more comprehensive solutions and a commitment to building lasting relationships with processors.”
With a team of local sales professionals and technicians, the group offers fast, on-site support for processors, helping to reduce downtime and improve productivity. The group’s Customer Experience Center in Sacramento allows processors to test equipment, receive employee training, and explore application solutions firsthand. A nearby parts center in Woodland, California, ensures rapid access to replacement parts to keep operations running smoothly.
