Key Technology introduces high-capacity vibratory conveyors
Key Technology has introduced high-capacity vibratory conveyors for food handling applications including fruits, vegetables, potato chips and potato strips.
Conveying up to 100,000 pounds of product an hour and available in widths of more than 10 feet, the high-capacity conveyors can be customized for grading, aligning and distributing. Key’s portfolio includes Iso-Flo, Impulse, Zephyr and Marathon conveyors.
“As demand for processed foods continues to grow, processors are looking to maximize production capacity on existing lines and install new lines capable of higher-than-ever throughputs,” Jack Lee, Duravant group president – Food Sorting and Handling Solutions, said in a news release. “Key’s high-capacity conveyors support these objectives while helping processors streamline their operations, reduce labor and maximize profits.”
Key Technology is a member of Duravant’s Food Sorting and Handling Solutions group.
Key’s specialized conveyor designs help facilitate functions at high capacities, including grading, removing fines, dewatering, distributing and spreading product for sorters and other equipment, according to the release.
The conveyor spring arms can be positioned either on the sides of the bed or underneath it. Drives can be positioned outside, inside or close to the center of the frame. The design and rigidity of the frame can be customized, and each conveyor can be installed in a variety of ways: suspended overhead, supported from the floor or mounted to other machinery.
