New Cooling Technology from FPA

Food Process Automation Inc., Grand Rapids, Mich., has introduced a new line of cooling technology to the fruit and vegetable industry. The equipment will debut at next month’s United Fresh Show in Las Vegas.

FPA’s line of Opti-Flow cooling tunnels uses high intensity air to facilitate the cooling process. Each self-contained, five-foot section has its own heat exchanger and fans, maximizing the temperature control and amount of chilled air applied to the product. The cooling tunnels offer the ability to cool fresh produce quickly while using less linear space.

Three representatives from FPA will be at the United Fresh Show, May 4-7, 2008, at booth 5346. A cooling tunnel section and representative control offering will be on display at the show.
