Mama’s Creations acquires ready-to-eat meals manufacturer

Crown I Enterprises, a ready-to-eat meals manufacturer and wholly owned subsidiary of global foodservice distribution company Sysco Corp., has been acquired by Mama’s Creations, a national marketer and manufacturer of fresh deli-prepared foods.

Crown’s approximately $56 million in annual revenue, based on results for the fiscal year ended June 28, increase Mama’s Creation’s sales base by nearly 40%, according to a news release. The acquisition will bring retail growth opportunities while adding strategic capabilities such as a recently upgraded 42,000-square-foot production facility in New York, according to the release.

Mama’s Creations plans to cross sell its existing product lines to Crown’s customers and vice versa, according to the company, as it progresses toward its goal of $1 billion in annual revenue by 2030.
