Key Technology showcases digital sorting and specialized conveying at Interpack

Key Technology will exhibit its Python laser sorter and Impulse electromagnetic conveyor at Interpack. According to the company, the Python and Impulse help improve product quality and production efficiencies.
 

Key is showcasing its complete line of digital sorters, which feature advanced laser, camera, and field-proven BioPrint hyperspectral imaging with intelligent software to satisfy many applications on a variety of belt- and chute-fed sorting platforms. These sorters complement Key’s specialize conveying and processing systems, integration services, and global customer support. Deep processing knowledge and application expertise maximize the value of each solution to each customer.  
 


Python is a smart laser sorter that removes foreign material, extraneous vegetative matter, and defects based on size, shape, color, and structure to improve product quality while increasing yield, according to Key. Python combines laser sorter features with complex shape recognition via its transparent, backlit chute. It is ideal for fresh, dried, and frozen fruits and vegetables as well as nuts and confections.

Key's Smart Shaker family of vibratory conveyors includes the Impulse line of electromagnetic conveyors. Impulse is a vibratory conveyor that is ideal for feeding multihead weighers and packaging lines, according to the company.
Impulse offers a sanitary, wash-down/wipe-down design, making it ideal for most bulk processing and packaging distribution lines that handle a wide range of food products as well as pharmaceuticals and chemicals.
