IFPA welcomes latest Produce Industry Leadership Program class
International Fresh Produce Association’s incoming Produce Industry Leadership Program class features a dozen professionals who will develop career connections and broaden their industry understanding during the next year.
The program, now in its 29th year, the program includes a series of customized trips, face-to-face meetings and hands-on training with industry experts and educators, along with attendance at IFPA’s signature events.
“Class 29 features a diverse group of emerging leaders who are poised to make a significant impact,” Nikki Wootten, IFPA education & program manager, talent, said in a news release. “The upcoming year promises a dynamic leadership experience that will empower these professionals to shape the future of our industry.”
Launched in 1995 and sponsored by Corteva Agriscience, the program has graduated more than 330 participants.
Beginning in November, the class will participate in educational events centered on the four core focus areas of the program: leadership development, business relationships, government and public affairs, and media and public communications.
