FFVA names new leader of Florida Specialty Crop Foundation
The Florida Fruit & Vegetable Association has named a new executive director of the Florida Specialty Crop Foundation.
Bryn Fussell will also serve as the organization’s director of membership, according to an article on its website. Fussell replaces Sonia Tighe, who retired in September.

Fussell will manage FFVA’s membership recruitment, retention and administration efforts and direct the initiatives of the Florida Specialty Crop Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization that oversees several scholarship initiatives as well as the Emerging Leader Development Program (ELDP). Since 2011, more than 150 participants have graduated from the program, which develops leaders in Florida agriculture.
“Bryn’s deep commitment to education and developing future leaders will be invaluable as she guides our Emerging Leader Development Program to even greater success,” FFVA president Mike Joyner said in a statement.
Fussell previously was the director of the Youth Academy at Orlando Family Stage, one of the largest nonprofit professional theatres for young audiences in the United States.
