Controlled environmental agriculture producer Edible Garden has been awarded new distribution with nationwide retailer Target that expands its existing relationship.

The increased business, expected to supply a “substantial portion” of the retailer’s fresh cut herbs, will also accelerate New Jersey-based Edible Garden’s growth and increase brand visibility, according to a news release.

Shipments are expected to start this month.

“We are proud to build on our relationship with Target, a key retail partner, as we continue to scale our distribution and meet growing demand for fresh, organic and sustainably grown herbs,” Edible Garden CEO Jim Kras said in the release. “This award highlights the reliability and efficiency of our supply chain and our ability to deliver consistent, high-quality product at scale, aligned with our Zero-Waste Inspired mission.

“We view this additional business as a meaningful opportunity to drive growth, increase our presence within a key retailer and demonstrate the strength of our operating model.”

Edible Garden supplies organic produce and products to more than 6,000 retail locations across the U.S., Caribbean, and South America.

In November 2025, the company expanded its distribution to Fresh Market stores. A month earlier, it began distribution to Kroger locations.
