Calavo Growers showcasing ready-to-cook meals at IFPA show
Avocado industry leader Calavo Growers is showcasing three new ready-to-cook meal products at the International Fresh Produce Association’s 2023 Global Produce and Floral Show.
Easy Bakes, Air Fryer Kits and Quick Skillet meal solutions are debuting at the show, held Oct. 19-21 in Anaheim, California.
Each of the new lines is fully ready to cook in 30 minutes or less, according to a news release.
- Calavo Easy Bakes, featuring fall flavor profiles including Cinnamon Spiced Apple Fruit Crisp and Pumpkin Spiced Sweet Potato with Marshmallows, are packed in an oven-ready tray.
- Calavo Air Fryer Kits varieties include Nashville Hot Style Cauliflower and Roasting Root Blend.
- Calavo Quick Skillets’ ready-to-cook recipes include Breakfast Potatoes with Bacon & Hollandaise.
“Calavo’s new meal innovations offer consumers a solution to creating time-saving, delicious meals at home,” Paul Harrison, executive vice president for sales and operations for Calavo Prepared, said in the release.
“We are proud of the investments Calavo continues to make into product development and operational efficiencies that help drive sales for our retail partners and create fresh and healthy food for end consumers.”
Founded in 1924, Calavo sells fresh-cut fruit, vegetables and prepared foods. Headquartered in Santa Paula, California, the company has processing plants and packing facilities throughout the U.S. and Mexico.
