Day Two of United Fresh 2014

June 13, 2014

After hours of engaging, meeting, interviewing and walking, the Fresh Cut team has returned to Michigan. After a five-hour drive, we are exhausted, but being able to meet with people important to our industry makes it all worth it.

On Tuesday I bragged about my New Product Awards votes, but now it’s time to brag about the winners. (I must have jinxed the companies I voted for, because very few won.)

Anyway, a very big congratulations is in order for the winners:

Best New Food Safety Solution: FoodLink Fresh – FoodLink
Best New Fruit Product: Crunch Pak with Marvel Apple Snacker, Crunch Pak
Best New Packaging Product: Josie’s Organics Romaine Hearts, Braga Fresh Family Farms
Best New Packing/Processing Equipment: The Frazer strawberry capper, Turatti.
Best New Vegetable Product: Y.E.L.O., Mastronardi Produce/Sunset

I also want to say congratulations to the finalists that were not selected. What an honor!

Before I say goodbye for the final time, I want to thank the United Fresh Produce Association for a great show! As a first time attendee and exhibitor, I couldn’t have asked for more.

As always, follow along on Facebook and Twitter for more coverage from United Fresh 2014. And don’t forget to visit our YouTube page!

See you next year in Chicago!
