Key announces personnel moves for Pacific Northwest, Eastern Hemisphere

Key Technology, a member of the Duravant family of companies, has announced two personnel moves to its sales team.

Pacific Northwest U.S.

Jesus Acevedo has been appointed the area sales manager for the Pacific Northwest United States. He will be responsible for bringing Key’s high-performance digital sorting, conveying and other automation systems to customers that process fruits, vegetables, potatoes, nuts, snack foods, poultry and more.

Jesus Acevedo, Key Technology

“We’re excited to have Jesus back at Key. When he was a sales engineer here several years ago, he acquired a deep understanding of our products and the needs of our customers, and since then, he’s gained a lot of direct sales experience. Now, he’s here to partner with food processors and deliver solutions that improve product quality, increase yields and reduce operating costs,” said Ray Kramer, Senior Direct of North American Sales at Key. “Jesus possesses a great combination of technical know-how and people skills — he’s a terrific resource for our customers.”

Acevedo brings four years of experience selling food processing machinery and other capital equipment. Most recently, he was an Account Manager at Raymond Handling Concepts and, prior to that, a sales representative with PRO Sales. Previously, he was an International Sales Engineer at Key. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and biomedical engineering from the University of Washington.

Based in Yakima, Washington, Acevedo is taking responsibility for the territory that was handled by Denny Snyder, who is retiring after almost 20 years with Key.

EMEIA region

Jasper Schoemaker has been promoted to sales manager for the Europe, Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA) region.

Jasper Schoemaker, Key Technology

“Throughout his career at Key, Jasper has demonstrated a commitment to excellence. He’s forged strong relationships with customers and collaborated closely with Key teams to develop the best solutions for each application. He knows our technology and understands the EMEIA market,” said Daniel Leighty, Global Vice President of Sales at Key. “We’re confident Jasper will excel in his new leadership position and help drive our continued success in this very important region.”

Schoemaker has been with Key for 21 years, holding various positions with increasing responsibilities. He started in Parts Sales and quickly advanced to Sales Engineering, where he helped custom-engineer Key’s processing equipment. Immediately prior to today’s promotion, he was Area Sales Manager for Belgium and a Major Account Manager for select global customers.

“Over the years, Key has given me many opportunities to grow and provided the support I’ve needed to succeed at every step. Now, I’m excited to lead Key’s talented sales organization in the EMEIA region and help create superior customer experiences,” said Schoemaker. “Food processors of all types rely on our world-class VERYX digital sorters and Iso-Flo vibratory conveyors to improve product quality, increase yield and reduce operating costs. Since acquiring Herbert Solutions earlier this year, we’ve added high-performance sorters and other processing systems for root crops to our family of solutions to deliver even more value.”
