Wisconsin-based contractor acquires food processing equipment manufacturer
Wisconsin-based contractor Tweet Garot Mechanical has acquired vegetable and fruit processing equipment manufacturer G.J. Olney in a move the contractor says will expand its food processing equipment offerings.
G.J. Olney produces specialized equipment for washing, cleaning and grading a variety of fruits and vegetables, according to a news release.
“This acquisition aligns with our commitment to growth and innovation in the food and beverage industry,” Hope Voigt, Tweet Garot chief operating officer, said in the release. “By integrating G.J. Olney’s proven product line into our existing portfolio of food processing equipment, we can offer an even wider array of solutions to support our customers in the fruit and vegetable processing space. We’re excited about the possibilities this brings for both our clients and our business.”
G.J. Olney, based in New York, has been manufacturing customized equipment for the food industry for more than 90 years, according to its website. Its offerings include flotation and destoning washers, green bean snippers and unsnipped bean removers, cluster cutters, dewatering shakers and reels, conveyors, and size and density graders.
