Vilsack to address IFPA Washington Conference

U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack will appear at The International Fresh Produce Association Washington Conference, delivering the keynote speech at the event’s State of the Fresh Nation address.

The breakfast and general session, also featuring IFPA CEO Cathy Burns, is set for June 11 from 7:45 a.m. until 9 a.m.

The Washington Conference, to be held June 10-12, will address issues including food safety, nutrition, farm bill legislation, workforce development and trade.

Other event speakers will include Sandra B. Eskin, USDA Deputy Under Secretary for Food Safety, and Mark Moorman, director of the Food and Drug Administration’s Office of Food Safety.
