USDA launches PACA license search system
This new system includes PACA Search, an online function providing access to PACA license status and complaint information.
ePACA enables licensees to submit or renew license applications electronically, search license status, and file reparation complaints. It provides access, anytime from anywhere, to license information and the status of complaints. Designed for effectiveness and productivity, ePACA eliminates redundant data entry and reduces physical paper delivery, scanning and storage costs.
The PACA Division regulates fair trading practices of produce businesses, including buyers, sellers, commission merchants, dealers and brokers within the fruit and vegetable industry.
In the past three years, USDA resolved approximately 3,350 PACA claims involving more than $63 million. Our experts also assisted more than 8,000 callers with matters such as interpretation of inspection certificates, advice on contract disputes and bankruptcy payments valued at approximately $156 million. These are just two examples of how USDA continues to support the fruit and vegetable industry.
