TOMRA Food renews sales partnership with Washington-based company

TOMRA Food has renewed its partnership with Van Doren Sales. Under the agreement, Van Doren Sales remains the primary provider of sales and service opportunities related to fresh market fruit production in the Pacific Northwest.

TOMRA Food’s sales and service team will continue to manage the company’s blueberry business.

In addition, Van Doren Sales will become the main point of contact for all sales related to the fresh apple market within North America, according to a news release.

Van Doren Sales has continued to grow through a combined facility with TOMRA in Grand Rapids, Michigan, according to the release. Another facility in Kelowna, British Columbia, was established to deliver service and support to this growing region.

The two companies established a commercial partnership in 1999 focused on providing integrated solutions to fresh apple and cherry customers in the Northwest region of North America, including Washington, Oregon, Idaho and British Columbia.

“We are absolutely thrilled about the refreshed agreement with Van Doren Sales,” Jacinto Trigo, regional sales director Americas at TOMRA Fresh Food, part of TOMRA Food and primary liaison with Van Doren Sales, said in the release: “This partnership holds incredible potential to drive our growth at an accelerated pace. … The renewed collaboration with Van Doren Sales reinforces our confidence in the tremendous opportunities that lie ahead.”

Washington-headquartered Van Doren Sales, founded in 1946, is a technology integrator and equipment manufacturer offering sales and service throughout North America. The company primarily focuses on apple, cherry, potato, onion and other fresh produce markets.
