Terra Chips announces three new flavors

Terra Chips, known for exotic multi-colored produce chips, has announced three new flavors — sour cream and onion, sea salt and vinegar and “Screamin’ Hot.”

According to a press release, the company polled consumers to decide on which direction to take its new flavor varieties. Terra produces potato, sweet potato and plantain chips.

Terra was founded in 1990 by two New York City chefs — Alex Dzieduszycki and Dana Sinkler. The operation started in Sinkler’s apartment by cooking small batches. By 1993, the operation was producing 150 cases per day.

Terra Chips is currently owned by Hain Celestial, which also owns a wide variety of beverage, food and personal care lines.
