Sormac has long been active in the U.S. market, first by offering graders for pickles in the 1980s. Offerings expanded with the addition of machines and processing lines for other vegetables, such as potatoes, carrots, onions, leafy greens, cabbage, herbs and a variety of fruits.

With its growing number of customers in the American produce processing industry, Sormac aims to improve its product availability with the new facility. It will be led by John Clement.

“In the near future, a technical service team will assist John, to be followed by a local sales team. Their focus is entirely on the North American market. Our current representatives — Golden State Food Machinery for California, Arizona and Nevada and Billy Mims Farm & Repairs for the pickle industry — will continue as our partner and assist in sales and service in the U.S,” a Sormac statement read.

Sormac’s North American branch will be located at 6800 Wales Road, Northwood, Ohio. Visit sormac.eu/en/ for more information on the company.
