Scholarships available for students interested in specialty crop careers

College students interested in a career in the specialty crop industry have three more weeks to apply for scholarships in Florida.

Applications are due April 23 for the Florida Fruit & Vegetable Association (FFVA) Mike and Karen Stuart Scholarships, designed to support careers in production areas such as growing, packing and shipping, or in allied trade fields including fertilizer and crop protection, equipment, food safety, sales, marketing and related disciplines.

Two scholarships are awarded annually, with each award providing $2,000 for one academic year.
