Robotic technology company makes list of top workplace innovators
Robotic technology company Symbotic has been named to Fast Company’s sixth annual Best Workplaces for Innovators list, ranking No. 58.
Symbotic’s platform aims to increase efficiency and speed in warehouse automation for industries including food and beverage, food wholesale and retail grocery.
“At Symbotic, innovation is a core value, and we take great pride in empowering every team member to think creatively and challenge the status quo as we transform how goods move through the supply chain,” Rick Cohen, Symbotic chair and CEO, said in a news release.
Symbotic has secured more than 400 patents secured and has formed advanced research partnerships with top global universities. Team members work with new and emerging technologies, from autonomy and perception to machine learning and vision, while implementing solutions through real-world applications at scale, according to the company.
The 2024 innovators list ranks 100 winners from industries including biotech, consumer packaged goods, marketing, education and health care.
Finalists answered application questions about projects, investment, company-wide programs and workplace culture. Fast Company editors evaluated applications and a judging panel reviewed the top 125 companies.
“Innovation is a global priority that cuts across all industries, and this year’s list reflects that diversity,” Brendan Vaughan, Fast Company editor in chief, said. “The top 10 features four companies headquartered outside of the U.S. and includes representatives from technology, advertising, finance, biotech, pharmaceuticals, ecommerce, and the nonprofit sectors.”
