Robotic palletizing solutions company launches cobot rental program
Columbia/Okura, a provider of end-of-line automation solutions, is launching a new palletizing equipment rental program.
The miniPAL Cobot Rental Program offers businesses a flexible, scalable solution while reducing upfront capital investment, according to a news release. The compact cobot is versatile and can be easily integrated to enhance efficiency and reduce labor costs, according to the release.
The 10-by-11 miniPAL has a 44-pound load capacity and a maximum pallet size of 48 inches by 48 inches. It can handle an 80-inch load height and up to eight picks per minute, according to the release.
The pre-configured, rental-ready units can be used in applications including cases, spot packs, tray, bundles and plastic bags.
The program fee includes outbound shipping and deployment. A three-month minimum commitment includes basic operator training and palletizing software.
“This innovative solution addresses the growing need for flexible and affordable automation,” Michael Stuyvesant, Columbia/Okura sales and marketing director, said in the release. “By offering a rental option, we’re empowering businesses of all sizes to adopt collaborative robotics and boost their productivity without significant upfront costs.”
The program is currently only available in the U.S.
