Packaging machine manufacturer names managing directors

Hugo Beck, a German-based manufacturer of horizontal packaging machines, has appointed two grandsons of company founder Hugo Beck as managing directors.

Simon Beck and Jonas Beck represent the third generation of family leadership for the company, founded in 1955.

Simon Beck, who has been with Hugo Beck for six years, is now responsible for the company’s technical operations, while Jonas Beck, who joined Hugo Beck in January, will handle commercial operations, according to a news release.

The appointments follow the departure of former managing director Timo Kollmann, who left Hugo Beck after 20 years for a new professional opportunity, according to the release.

“After many fulfilling years in the management of Hugo Beck, I’ve decided to take on a new professional challenge,” Kollmann said in the release. “I’m confident the company is in excellent hands with the continued leadership of the Beck family and look forward to seeing its future success.”

Curt-Juergen Raiser will remain in his role as managing director until a planned retirement in October after nearly 30 years with the company, according to the release.

“We’re proud to continue our family’s legacy while positioning the business for the future,” Jonas Beck said. “We’re grateful for the contributions of Timo Kollmann and Curt-Juergen Raiser, who have helped shape Hugo Beck’s direction over the recent years. Hugo Beck has grown from a small mechanical workshop into a global provider of custom packaging and automation solutions.
