Packaging company names new sales manager

Packaging solutions company Ossid has named Maurice Alva as its regional sales manager for the Southeast region, Mexico and Latin America.

Alva, who is fluent in English and Spanish, brings extensive experience in business strategy, project management and customer service, according to a news release.

“We are excited to welcome Maurice to the Ossid team,” Andrew Birdwell, Ossid vice president of sales, said in the release. “His industry knowledge, customer-focused approach and experience working across diverse markets make him a valuable addition to our sales organization as we continue to strengthen our presence throughout the Southeast, Mexico, and Latin America.”

Ossid manufactures sustainable tray packaging and thermoform form fill seal machinery for the fresh protein, produce, seafood, bakery and medical device industries.

The company is also the North American master distributor of Italian-based Reepack, a manufacturer of high-quality flexible packaging machinery known for its thermoformers, tray sealers, flow wrappers and vacuum chambers.
