Nut butter suppliers join traceability and compliance network
Fifty new nut butter suppliers have joined traceability and regulatory compliance network ReposiTrak, including the world’s largest food and beverage company.
ReposiTrak uses an inventory management and out-of-stock reduction Software as a Service (SaaS) platform to connect suppliers and trading partners ahead of the January 2026 deadline for compliance with the Food and Drug Administration’s Food Traceability Final Rule. Users can exchange FDA-required Key Data Elements for each Critical Tracking Event in the supply chain.
In a news release, the company did not identify the suppliers. Several websites, including foodindustry.com, rank. Nestle as the world’s largest food and beverage company. The Swiss corporation announced 2023 revenues of 93 billion in Swiss Francs ($105 billion USD).
Another company joining ReposiTrak is a Belgium-based snack-food innovator founded in 1932, and another is a U.S.-based snack food leader established in 1913 with a global product portfolio including pretzels, sandwich crackers, potato chips, cookies, popcorn and nuts.
“Suppliers are joining not just to meet FDA requirements but also to align with the stricter demands of many retailers,” Randy Fields, ReposiTrak chair and CEO, said in the release. “Nut butters are a perfect example, as they’re used in a wide range of foods across stores, and many retailers now require traceability for all products on their shelves. ReposiTrak ensures seamless traceability for everyone, meeting both regulatory and customer requirements.”
The ReposiTrak Traceability Network requires no additional hardware or software. Suppliers can connect to trading partners and share data for a flat fee.
