New mobile pallet aims to optimize storage, handling of canned goods

Palletized goods automation company Logic Robotics has introduced a new mobile pallet designed to optimize the storage, transport and handling of canned goods and improve efficiency and safety across food and beverage supply chains.

The Logic Pallet 36 x 36’s is constructed from food-grade materials with a high load capacity of 3,000 pounds, according to a news release. Its easy-to-clean surface meets stringent hygiene requirements and prevents moisture absorption, reducing the risk of contamination and product spoilage.

The multifacility mobile robot enables end-to-end automation of the supply chain, replacing traditional shipping pallets and forklifts, eliminating the need for manual pallet handling and reducing labor and equipment costs, according to the release.

Featuring a patented weight-based inventory management system, the LP 36 x 36 performs on-demand cycle counts, streamlining inventory tracking and improving accuracy and visibility. It is capable of self-loading and unloading onto vehicles.

Its compact design fits standard industrial environments, while its battery life of 160 hours minimizes charging downtime and velocity of 2.2 mph ensures timely transport. An enclosure can be included for temperature-controlled goods.
