New continuous box-motion bagger from Matrix offers speed, accuracy

Wisconsin-based Matrix, a ProMach brand, will demonstrate its MVC-300, a continuous box-motion bagger with a high-performance servo system, at The Sweets & Snacks Expo, to be held May 22-23 at McCormick Place.

Matrix is a leader in vertical form fill seal packaging equipment, producing a variety of flexible bag styles including pillow, gusseted, flat bottom, and modified doy. Its MVC-300 allows users to run a variety of films at faster speeds and with better accuracy, according to the company.
The MVC-300 (which stands for Matrix Vertical Continuous Motion/300 mm Wide Jaw) uses a continuous-motion, high-speed jaw system which cuts the film and provides just enough dwell time for the three bag seams to properly seal.
The MVC-300 will pair with a Spee-Dee cup filler at the expo to package 2 ounces of hard candy into a pillow bag with tear notch.
