Nelson-Jameson to build new Texas facility

With their current Dumas, Texas facility nearing full capacity, Nelson-Jameson has made the decision to build a new warehouse in Amarillo, Texas. This new location will be located closer to major LTL carriers and small parcel shipping hubs. It is targeted for completion in February 2017.

The new lot is over 4 acres, and located in a developed business park. Initial building plans include a facility approximately 25,000 square feet, with three finished docks and two unfinished dock openings to allow for future growth as the need arises. Office space will consist of approximately 1,800 square feet and include offices, cubical space, a conference room, and break room.

Warehouse space will boast high cube space storage system with 750,000 cubic feet of storage area, and the capacity to hold 224 pallets of refrigerated product, according to the company.
