Michigan Fruit Growers Report Big Losses After Spring Cold Snap
It will be a far less bountiful season this year for Michigan-grown fruit.
A spring cold snap cost growers across the state tens of millions of dollars in lost fruit — everything from tart cherries and apples to blueberries and pears, according to agriculture experts and farmers, who wrapped up assessing the extent of the damage last week.
