Mann hires director of food safety

Mann Packing has hired Greg Komar as director of food safety and product quality. He  will be responsible for all food safety and product quality systems for the company.

Komar joins Mann’s from SCS Global Services where he was the director of food safety. Previously, he worked as the technical manager for NSF Agriculture for seven years and was the director of food safety for Growers Express/Green Giant Fresh. Prior to that, Komar worked as senior quality assurance plant manager at Earthbound Farm and as quality assurance manager at Mann Packing from 2001 to 2003.

Komar possesses a Bachelor of Science degree in applied plant biology from the University of California, Davis.
