Produce supplier Lipman Family Farms has acquired Inland Premium Packers, a tomato repacking operation in Riverside, California.

The acquisition gives Lipman a value-added presence inside the Southern California market and connects the region to the company’s existing operations in Arizona, Northern California and Mexico, according to a news release.

“Southern California is one of the largest markets in the country, and this acquisition solidifies our presence there,” Lipman Family Farms CEO Elyse Lipman said in the release. “We’re building on our Southern California relationships, and now we have infrastructure to ensure fresher supply through our network.”

Longtime Lipman employee Nick Dachman has been named general manager of the Los Angeles location.

Lipman operates more than 30 locations to farm, pack and ship across North America, including national distribution of fresh-cut product.
