Key Technology promotes Leighty to VP of global sales

Daniel Leighty has been promoted to global vice president of sales at Key Technology.

Leighty has been with Key for 12 years. In his new role, he is in charge activities that lead Key’s worldwide sales organization to bring the company’s high performance digital sorting, conveying and process automation systems to the market.

“During his 12 years with Key, Dan has held a number of sales and management positions with increasing responsibilities. He has the leadership skills to inspire and support our salespeople to deliver the best customer experiences,” said Louis Vintro, senior vice president of New Products and Business Development. “Plus, he thoroughly understands our technologies and the nuances of regional markets around the world. We’re thrilled to have Dan expand his role and help drive our continued success.”

Leighty has been with Key since 2007 and brings more than 25 years of experience in sales management. Prior to this promotion, he was Global Sales Operations and Managing Director of Key’s Netherlands facility. He will continue as Managing Director of Key Technology B.V. in the Netherlands while assuming his new position as Global Vice President of Sales. Previously, he was the Managing Director of Key’s Belgian facility. Leighty holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Oregon State University.
