JBT Marel debuts new, compact juicer at show
Food processing solutions company JBT Marel unveiled its new citrus juicer Oct. 16 at the International Fresh Produce Association Global Produce and Floral Show in Anaheim, California.
The Fresh’n Squeeze 1800 Citrus Juicer features the same whole fruit extraction technology in the Fresh’n Squeeze product line with a smaller countertop footprint that will save retailers labor and space, according to a news release.

The Fresh’n Squeeze 1800 separates juice from peel and maximizes juice yield by up to 50% per fruit compared to traditional cut-and-press technology, according to the company. The juicer can process up to 50 ounces of juice per minute while preserving natural taste and nutrients.
“Implementing Fresh’n Squeeze juicers in-store has been linked to an 18% increase in sales,” Megan Dyer, JBT Marel director of key accounts and beverage, said in the release. “The fresh aroma of citrus and the health-focused connection to fresh juice create an experience that attracts customers and encourages them to purchase. It’s a win-win for shoppers looking for healthier options and food service retailers looking to broaden their offerings with fresh offerings, drive traffic to the perimeter and strengthen their bottom line.”
The Fresh’n Squeeze 1800 can handle all types of citrus fruits without adjustment or additional juicing heads, according to the release, and allows for customizable pulp content. The machine, with minimal parts to simplify cleaning, can withstand high-volume prep use as well as self-serve settings.
“The Fresh’n Squeeze 1800 also allows customers to see their juice made right before their eyes, turning the process into an engaging experience and fostering transparency and trust,” Fresh’n Squeeze design engineer Wade Roberts said. “Plus, its low maintenance and durable design empower staff to focus on customer service rather than constant equipment upkeep. These collective benefits make it more attractive to retail food service businesses, from proprietary businesses to chains alike.”
