High-speed cartridge filling and closing systems available from ProSys Fill

New high-speed cartridge filling and closing systems are now available from automated equipment manufacturer ProSys Fill.

The in-line cartridge filling series for 10.5-, 14-, and 30-ounce fiber or plastic cartridges features horizontal or optional vertical load and unload, according to a news release. It also includes volumetric product metering, cartridge lift mechanisms for a vertical, air-free bottom-up fill and three-head cartridge filling and closing to help enhance production speed and throughput while increasing operational flexibility and efficiency.

The series is offered in models filling up to 110 cartridges per minute, is compatible with a variety of cartridge types and supports plastic, metal, and fiber cartridge materials. It can handle products with viscosities up to 3 million centipoise (cps), making it suitable for a range of product viscosities, according to the release.

The system features either a standard reject system or optional downstream check weighing, along with a plunger insertion feature with an air release system that prevents air entrapment. Optional explosion-proof controls are available to enhance safety.
