Grimmway Farms introduces carrot fries air fryer kits

Grimmway Farms, one of the world’s largest carrot producers, has introduced a new product: carrot fries air fryer kits.

Available in two flavors, the kits are the first carrot air fryer product on the market, according to the company. Each kit includes double-crinkle carrot sticks, pre-portioned oil, cornstarch and seasoning packets.

Mediterranean Herb or Chipotle Maple kits can be made in less than 20 minutes, Grimmway Farms said.

The 13-ounce retail kit provides four servings per package.

“Everyone loves French fries, so crispy on the outside and tender inside, but generally recognized as a guilty pleasure laden with fat and sodium,” David Bright, Grimmway Farms vice president of marketing, said in a news release on the company’s website. “Our new Carrot Fries are a new take on this classic favorite, combining the subtle sweetness of carrots with our bold Chipotle Maple spice or zesty Mediterranean Herb spice.

“Both kits quickly and simply produce delicious and crispy, healthy fries with minimal fat from fresh carrots. Grimmway’s Carrot Fries are a great way to add another serving of vegetables that everyone in the household will enjoy.”

Headquartered in Bakersfield, California, Grimmway Farms supplies more than 65 organic crops and brands, including Cal-Organic Farms and Bunny-Luv.

Cal-Organic recently expanded its fresh cut offerings with a new line of organic chopped greens and vegetables. The chopped greens line includes green kale, lacinato kale, collard greens and rainbow chard, along with a blend of rainbow kale with shredded carrots. The chopped vegetable line offers organic broccoli, cauliflower and baby carrots.
