Global banana, pineapple and plantain supplier names business leader

Kapi Kapi Growers, a global grower-shipper of bananas, pineapples and plantains, has named a produce industry veteran as its director of business development. 

Mike Naftel, with more than 20 years’ experience, will lead the company’s business development initiatives, strengthen customer relationships and identify opportunities to support the continued expansion of Kapi Kapi’s banana, pineapple, and plantain programs, according to a news release.

Naftel has also held leadership positions with Del Monte Fresh Produce and Latin Specialties, where he specialized in bananas, pineapples, plantains and other fresh produce categories.
