Garvey joins Vive Crop Protection as global business development director
Industry veteran Chris Garvey has joined Vive Crop Protection as global business development director.
Garvey, with 40 years of industry experience in corporate strategy, business general management, sales and marketing, business development and technology leadership roles, founded a consulting firm and also served in numerous roles at Corteva Agriscience, according to a news release.
Vive, based in Toronto, develops new products based on existing active ingredients for pesticides using its patented Allosperse technology.
“We couldn’t be more excited to have Chris on board the Vive team,” David Rummel, vice president of sales and business development, said in the release. “He will make great strides in leading us toward more collaborative and strategic partnerships that will assist in expanding our Allosperse presence in the market as well as embrace new innovative technologies and products.”
Garvey holds four U.S. patents and has served on the boards of the Illinois Foundation Seeds, Precision Soya and the American Seed Trade Association. He continues to serve as president of Maplelawn Farmstead, a nonprofit historic restoration and preservation organization in Indiana.
